Vandal Women's Golf Takes the Course at Grand Canyon

MOSCOW, Idaho – Vandal women's golf takes to the course Monday at the Grand Canyon University at the GCU Golf Course in Phoenix.

The Vandal women are coming off of an eighth-place finish at the Texas State Invite.

The tournament will be a good preview of this season's Big Sky Championship. Nineteen teams will play in the tournament, including five Big Sky Conference opponents (Portland State, Eastern Washington, Northern Arizona, Southern Utah and Montana State.)

Valeria Patino leads the Vandal women on the course while reigning Big Sky Golfer of the Week Jenna Bruggeman will also compete for the Vandal women. The Vandals leading scorer after the fall tournament, Vicky Tsai will look to get back on track after a tough tournament in Texas. Eddie Hsu and Yvonne Vinceri round out the lineup for Idaho in the five-score-four tournament.

The shotgun start will begin at 8 a.m. Monday. The three-round tournament will take place over two days with 36 holes being played on Monday and 18 more on Tuesday. The course will be a par 72 on both days, but the yardage will go from 6,171 on Monday to 6,095 on Tuesday.

Live scoring will be available via Golfstat.
