OGDEN, Utah – Idaho men's tennis dropped their first Big Sky match of the season, 4-3, to Weber State on Saturday afternoon on the road. 

Idaho fell in two-of-three doubles matches as the Vandals trailed 1-0 early on. 

In singles action, the Vandals were victorious at the No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5 positions while Weber State recorded three singles wins.

Francisco Bascon got the Vandals started, tying the score at 1-1 after earning a decisive 6-4, 6-1 straight-set victory over Tristan Sarap. The perfect weekend in singles play from Bascon moves his record to 7-1 this spring.
  
Mario Duron Garza put the Vandals up 2-1, defeating Matteo Savio 6-4, 6-4 at No. 5. 

WSU responded with a win at the No. 6 position before Matteo Masala tallied a victory at No. 4. The sophomore fell in the opening set 3-6 and then rallied back to defeat Bo-Han Li, 6-3, 6-4. 

The Wildcats recorded wins in back-to-back matches in the No. 1 and No. 3 singles spots, defeating Idaho 4-3.
