The University of Idaho Track & Field/Cross Country program is thrilled to announce the commitment of Jon Watkins,a transfer from Spokane Falls Community College, to the 2022 recruiting class!

Jon is a three-time Northwest Athletic Conference(NWAC) All-American in the 400m, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay. The NWAC is the largest community college conference in the United States.
This past track season Jon ran a new personal best in the 200 meters clocking 22.55" on May 7th at the Tom Gage Classic. 
  He has also run a wind-aided 22.53" in the half-lap race. His personal best in the 400 meter distance came during the 2021 season with Jon crossing the line in a time of 49.65".

Jon has consistently ran on the Spokane Falls 4x100 meter and 4x400 meter relay teams, running almost every leg of each relay. He will be a valuable asset to the Vandals in both relays.

In addition to what he brings on the track, Jon has been a top student at Spokane Falls. He has been named to the academic honor roll five times.
