Former Vandal Chance Garvin Joins as Graduate Manager

Garvin will takeover as a graduate manager for the 2022-23 season

MOSCOW, Idaho - A familiar face is set to rejoin the program this fall, this time as a member of the coaching staff instead of as a player. Idaho men's basketball head coach Zac Claus announced the addition of Chance Garvin to his staff, taking over as a graduate manager for the 2022-23 season.

Garvin, a native of Coulee Dam, Wash., played five seasons with the Vandals from 2016 to 2021. He appeared in 62 total games for Idaho and made 26 starts. In his junior campaign, Garvin started in 15 contests, averaging 20.3 minutes per game, 4.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 42.3 percent shooting from the field.

After Idaho, Garvin went on to serve as an assistant coach for the Moscow High School women's basketball team. He also was a ESPN+ color commentator for Idaho men's and women's basketball games during the 2021-22 season.

Garvin is currently pursuing a master's degree in adult organizational learning and leadership at the University of Idaho.
