FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference office has announced its 2021-22 Spring All-Academic Teams for Men's & Women's Golf, Men's & Women's Tennis and Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field honoring student-athletes for their work both on the field of competition and in the classroom. The Vandals had 65 student-athletes selected to their respective teams.
Of the 65 Vandals to earn the distinction, women's outdoor track & field led the way with 45 selections. Men's track & field had 22. Both men's and women's tennis had six selections each with men's golf following with five and women's golf with one.
Nine Vandals earned a perfect 4.0 GPA.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team's competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution. For outdoor track and field, the student-athlete is also eligible competition-wise by participating at the conference championship meet.
