FARMINGTON, Utah – Idaho Vandal soccer has been picked to finish fifth in the conference preseason poll released by the Big Sky on Thursday.
 
Northern Colorado, last season's regular-season champion, was picked first. Montana was picked second, Weber State third, NAU fourth before the Vandals. Sacramento State, EWU, Portland State and Idaho State rounded out the poll.
 
The Vandals finished fifth a season ago, but added seven freshmen and six transfers to this year's squad. They return leading goal scorers Jadyn Hanks, Maddy Lasher and Savannah Foster.
 
Idaho opens the regular-season on the road on Thursday, Aug. 18 against UC San Diego.
