POSITION COACH: CODY BOOTH

Booth comes to Idaho after coaching tight ends at Colorado State last season. He coached Trey McBride to the Mackey Award for the best tight end in college football. He served as the tight ends coach at CSU since the 2021 season.

Before his time at Colorado State, he spent the 2019 season as an offensive graduate assistant at Boston College where he worked with the offensive line and helped develop All-ACC honoree Zion Johnson.

He was the offensive GA at Temple during the 2017 and 2018 seasons where he also worked with the offensive line. He worked with Remington Award finalist and NFL Draft Pick Matt Hennessy.

He began his playing career as a walk-on tight end at Temple but shifted to the offensive line for his final season in 2013 as a tackle. That move proved valuable as Booth spent three years in the NFL as an offensive tackle with the Chicago Bears (2014), Jacksonville Jaguars (2014-15), and Washington Redskins (2016).

Booth on Floyd: "Logan Floyd, goes by Swaggy. He's a senior captain. Leader of our group. Really athletic. Right now he's playing left tackle. You know, it brings it every day. I love his leadership in the room. You know, you can really, you know, you can really trust that he's going to be the same guy every day. Being physical and holding everybody accountable.

Booth on Sanchez: “We're really fired up about Eli. Got him playing center. Really smart, really athletic. You know, he's able to, you know, run the show up there and make all the calls and get him out and use that athleticism, that and pulling and, you know, run in different mid zones.”

Jason is a grad transfer who brings championship experience from perennial NAIA powerhouse Morningside.
He anchored the offensive line for the Mustangs that went 66-2 winning five conference title, advanced to the semifinals five times and won three national championships over his career. In high school.
Three-time all-conference selection and first-team all-state selection along with winning a state title.

Booth on Hahlbeck: “Jason is playing right tackle for us. He actually transferred here weighing in about 250 and he's now about 280-285, right now. So he's really owning his body and understanding that he can't play can't play O-line at 250. So he's all in on that he's really athletic, smart, physical and is really consistent every day."
Booth on Cisse: “I'm really excited about Tigana Cisse. He comes from the Bay Area in Oakland and he's really athletic fitting right in with our scheme, playing inside right guard and left guard force. He's a dynamic guy that you can be able to run the ball right behind him. He's got a it's a great power, great motor and a guy that I'm really excited about his upside.”
Booth on Knapik: “A freshman that I'm really excited about a newcomer coming in is Ayden Knapik, just a young guy watching him develop. He actually came here as a walk on. So, you know, he just got here a couple weeks ago and feel like he's he's kind of taken off a little bit. I'm excited about watching him expedite his development and he's only going to grow up. So I'm really looking forward to his upside."
