FARMINGTON, Utah -- After going 3-0 on the week, a pair of Vandal volleyball players have been recognized by the conference as Players of the Week.

Madison Wilson earns Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Doorn was a critical piece in the Vandals' offense to help lead the team to a 3-0 weekend over Morehead State, Wyoming and Nicholls State. The freshman posted 41 assists and no errors against Wyoming, assisting on 41 of Idaho's 53 kills. The Oregon native ended the tournament with 108 assists and was named UniWyo Invite Most Valuable Player. Doorn is ranked ninth overall in the Big Sky for assists per set with a total average of 6.60.

This week's selections mark the first time Idaho has had two student-athletes earn conference weekly honors in the same week since Reece Carman and
Nikki Ball did so in 2018. It's also the first time in Doorn and Wilson's young career to receive conference recognition.
Idaho gets set for its first home and conference match of the season when taking on Sacramento State, Thursday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m.
