FARMINGTON, Utah – The Idaho men's and women's track and field teams have been picked second in the Big Sky Conference Indoor Track and Field Preseason Poll, announced by the conference office Thursday.
Northern Arizona was selected to win the conference on both the men's and women's sides. The men received all 10 first-place votes and 100 points. Idaho was selected second with 84 points, while Montana State followed in third with 80 points.
The NAU women captured all 10 first-place votes and 100 points, while the Vandals came in second with 83 points. Montana State was slotted third with 70 points.
The Vandal men took second place at last year's Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championship, while the women were third-place finishers. Idaho totaled four wins and 13 podium finishes in the effort.
The 2023 Big Sky Indoor Track and Field Championships is scheduled for February 23-25, as Idaho will host in Moscow on the new Mondotrack Super X surface inside the Kibbie Dome.
