Vandals WBB Set to Take on Utah State and Texas A&M-Commerce This Week

MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho Women's Basketball team will travel Wednesday, November 29th to Logan, Utah to take on the Utah State University Aggies at 10 a.m. PST. Later in the week the Vandals will host Texas A&M University- Commerce in the ICCU Arena at 6 p.m. PST on Friday December 1st. The road game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and the home game will be broadcast on ESPN+. Both will be available via radio broadcast on AM 840 KMAX or GoVandals.com.

ABOUT IDAHO: The Vandals women's basketball team dropped their lone game of the week to Utah Valley, 66-59. Idaho (3-2) was led by Hope Butera with 14 points and 14 rebounds, her first double-double of the season and second of her career.
 
Amalie Langer and Ashlyn Wallace were second with 12 points apiece. Wallace shot 3-8 from FG , 2-7 from three, and 4-4 from FT. Langer went 3-9 from FG, 1-4 from three and 5-6 from FT.
 
Idaho shot 41.3% (19-46) from the field, 28.6% (4-14) from three, and 73.9% (17-23) from the free throw line. The loss can be accredited to the Vandals' season-high 18 turnovers and Utah Valley's 21 resulting points.
 
ABOUT UTAH STATE: Utah State is 3-3 on the season thus far. The Aggies have faced two Big Sky Conference opponents, featuring a win and a loss. Utah State lost to Eastern Washington 75-39 and defeated Weber State 72-62.
 
This past weekend, Utah State split the weekend with a one-point loss (51-52) to UC Riverside on the road and a 66-54 win over Warner Pacific at home.
 
The Aggies are led by Cheyenne Stubbs with 95 total points, averaging 15.8 per game. She has shot 50% (36-72) from the field. The next highest scorer, Skye Miller, averages 12.2 PPG. The Vandals are 14-12 all-time against the Aggies with the last meeting in 2017.
 
ABOUT TEXAS A&M: The Lions have an overall record of 3-2 so far this season coming off a win over Utah Tech. Commerce's' leading scorers during their game against the Trailblazers were Ahmya Boyce and Mary Delgado with 19 points each. Following closely with 15 points each were Jordyn Newsome and Mia Deck. Deck also led her team defensively with her season high of 13 rebounds.

The last time the Vandals took on the Lions was the 2022-2023 season ending in win for the Lions 88-72. This was the first of many match-ups between the two teams which will be continued this season.
