Idaho Signs Champion Moscow Local

MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho Track and Field/Cross Country signed a Moscow local, Sara Casebolt earlier this week. Casebolt attended Logos School and competes in cross country and middle distance events.

Casebolt is a decorated Idaho athlete in both cross country and track and field. In cross country, she was part of a team that was crowned 2021 State Champions and earned runner-up in 2022 as an individual. She was honored as the 3x MVP for her school team and also earned All-District three times.

On the track, Casebolt was the district champion in the 800m, 1600m, 3200m, and the 4x400 relay. As the anchor on the 4x400 relay, her crew earned the state title and hold the state record.

Casebolt made her mark on the Logos School, holding nine school records and was nominated into the North Idaho Hall of Fame. She is a second generation Vandal and grew up wanting to compete for Idaho.

"I really admire the team dynamic at the University of Idaho and the staff of very knowledgeable and encouraging coaches," said Casebolt. "I am very excited to compete at the collegiate level and train with some super-fast girls with some really experienced coaches!"

Casebolt plans to study nutrition due to her love of food and cooking.
