Men's Basketball Falls to Northern Arizona, 72-50

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho men's basketball team (10-18, 4-11) lost 72-50 to Northern Arizona (8-21, 4-12) on Saturday afternoon at ICCU Arena.

Forward Isaac Jones was the lead scorer for the Vandals. Jones posted a game-high 22 points and 13 rebounds to tally his 10th double-double of the season. Guard Dominique Ford also scored in double figures with 16 points.

Idaho jumped out to an early 12-6 lead but was unable to slow down the Lumberjack's scoring attack in the last 10 minutes of the half. Northern Arizona shot 56 percent (15-of-27) from the field and 63 percent (5-of-8) from three to help carry a 37-24 halftime lead. 
 
The Vandals came out strong in the second half, shooting 58 percent from the field in the first 10 minutes but were unable to slow down NAU's offense, as the Lumberjacks went on to earn a 72-50 win. 

Idaho's offense was unable to find a rhythm, shooting 37 percent (19-of-51) from the field and 15 percent (3-of-20) from three.

All 10 Lumberjacks contributed to the scoring effort which included 29 bench points. Nik Mains led the Northern Arizona scoring attack with 14 points.

NAU recorded 14 points off of nine Idaho turnovers.
