Box Score MOSCOW, Idaho – The Vandal Women's basketball team defeated Weber State XX-XX in their last game in the ICCU Arena for the 2022-23 season.
Beyonce Bea led the team with 29 points and nine rebounds.
Tiana Johnson capped off her final game in the ICCU with 13 points and five rebounds, scoring in the double digits for five straight games.
The first quarter had a slow start as the Wildcats went on a 6-0 run, holding the Vandals scoreless for three minutes.
Brooke Malone broke the silence draining three from the line. As Idaho started heating up, Bea led the team with four points followed by four others with three apiece. The Vandals outrebounded Weber State 12-8 and outshot them 46.2% to 27.8% from the field. Johnson led Idaho with four assists in the quarter.
Idaho continued to increase the lead over Weber State outscoring them 24-18 in the second quarter. Bea led the Vandals, scoring 10 points followed by Johnson with seven. Idaho shot 57.1% (8-14) from the field compared to Weber State at 35.7% (5-14). 18 of the 24 points for the Vandals were scored from the paint, as they reached the largest lead of the half at 16 points.
Idaho led Weber State 42-28 after the first 20 minutes, led by Bea with 14 points and six rebounds and Johnson with 10 points and four rebounds. The Vandals shot 51.9% (14-27) from the field, 30.8% (4-13) from the arc, and 83.3% (10-12) from the line while the Wildcats shot 31.3% (10-32) from the field, 40% (2-5) from the arc, and 6-6 from the line. The Wildcats had the advantage in offensive rebounds with three to Idaho's one, but the Vandals had more total rebounds with 20-16.
The third quarter was uneventful, with only 27 points scored in the 10 minutes played. The Vandals outscored Weber State 15-13, going on a 9-0 run that lasted five minutes. The Wildcats decreased the lead, shooting 50% (3-6) from three and 38.5% (5-13) from the field.
Rosa Smith led the Vandals with five points in the quarter, becoming the third Vandal of the night to reach double digits.
Idaho rode out the final 10 minutes as they got to test the depth of their bench.

Jaiden Bea entered the match and recorded career highs in points at four apiece. Eleven different Vandals got on the scoreboard tonight while three recorded in the double digits. Idaho ended the game shooting overall 46.6% (27-58) from the field, 26.9% (7-26) from three-point range, and 69.6% (16-23) from the line. Weber State shot 31.1% (19-61) from the field, 35.7% (5-14) from three-point range, and 69.2% (9-13) from the line. Six different Vandals recorded four or more rebounds as Idaho outrebounded Weber State 44-35.
The Vandals will close out Big Sky Conference play on Monday night in Missoula versus Montana at 5 p.m.
