MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho men's basketball team is set to host regional rival Montana this Monday night for the final home game of the 2022-23 season. The team will honor four individuals pregame for a senior night ceremony -
Michael Hanshaw,
Divant'e Moffitt,
Rashad Smith and
Trey Smith. Tip-off against the Grizzlies is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside the ICCU Arena.
Monday's game will also include a teddy bear toss that encourages fans to bring a plush animal to toss on the floor at the start of halftime. Each plush animal will be donated to the CASA Program, a program that works with children of neglected families.

The Vandals (10-20, 4-13 BSC) return home after dropping a pair of road matchups at Idaho State (55-65) and Weber State (53-67).
Fifth-year guard
Divant'e Moffitt led the charge for the Vandals offensively against the Bengals, scoring a game-high 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting. The scoring effort by Moffitt helped eclipse 2,000 career points for the Spanaway, Washington native.
Freshman forward
Nigel Burris also added 13 points with a perfect 3 for 3 clip from three.
Junior forward
Isaac Jones posted a team-high 17 points for the Vandals in a game at Weber State on Saturday. It was the 25th time this season Jones scored in the double figures and the 20th game securing at least seven rebounds.
Scouting the Grizzlies
Montana is 15-13 with a 9-7 conference record. The Grizzlies have been hot of late, winning six of their past seven games. Last time out, UM picked up a tight 74-72 win over Sacramento State on Saturday in Missoula.
The Grizzlies are scoring 68.8 points per game while allowing 68. Montana ranks as one of the top teams in the Big Sky in multiple categories - free throw percentage (78.2), three-point percentage (37.5) and three-point percentage defense (31.8). Its free throw success is not only the best in the conference, but it also ranks ninth nationally.
Four Grizzlies score in double figures, including a team-high 16 points per game by Aanen Moody. He is rated as one of the top sharpshooters in the league, ranking first in three-point percentage (42.4), second in three-point makes per game (2.7) and fourth in total three-point makes (64). Josh Bannan averages 15 points per contest while Dischon Thomas posts 11.4 a game and Brandon Whitney pitches in 10.7.
Series History
Montana owns a 111-94 overall record over Idaho in the two programs' history. Since rejoining the Big Sky in 2014, the Vandals are 3-3 against the Grizzlies in Moscow. Idaho looks to split the season series after Montana earned a 56-67 win in Missoula on New Year's Eve.
