MOSCOW, Idaho - The Idaho Cross Country teams are set to take on Washington State in the Cougar Classic Invitational this Friday, Sept. 15. The Vandals head to the Colfax Golf Club to participate in the meet for the fifth year in a row (excluding 2020).
The meet kicks off with the men's 8K at 5:00 PM followed by the women's 6K at 5:45.

The Vandal men come off of a week's rest after a second-place finish in the 6K at the Clash of the Inland Northwest hosted by Eastern Washington. Junior and Idaho newcomer
Shane Gard led the way at 14th place (18:54.1) while
Shea Mattson and
Sam Fulbright weren't far behind capturing 16th and 17th. Junior
Cruz Flores also helped the Vandal squad at 29th (19:15.3).
The women opened the 2023 season finishing third in Cheney, Wash. at the Clash of the Inland Northwest.
Leah Holmgren was the highlight for the Vandals with a fifth-place finish and a new personal best: 14:20.8 in the 4K. Sophomore
Abigail Thomas took 11th at 14:32.7 and freshman
McKenna Kozeluh placed 18th in her first college meet at a 14:42.3 mark.
The Vandals travel to Eugene, Oregon next Friday, Sept. 22 for the Bill Dellinger Invite hosted by Oregon.
