FARMINGTON, Utah - The Big Sky Conference has announced Hanna Tait as its Women's Field Athlete of the Week following her gold medal performance in the women's pentathlon at the 2024 Lauren McCluskey Memorial.

Tait, of Grafton, NSW, Australia, completed the Big Sky's best pentathlon performance in 2024 with 3728 points at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial on Jan. 19th. The freshman won the title in just her second collegiate meet and first at the Vandals' home venue, the Lauren McCluskey Track.

Tait opened the women's pentathlon with a first-place 8.89 in the 60-meter hurdles. She then tacked on another victory in the penultimate long jump at a 5.70m mark. Tait also notched a third-place finish in the high jump (1.62) and fourth in the final 800m race (2:27.64).

Her 3728 points is an Idaho freshman record and the most from a Vandal since Johanna Hocketstaller (3733) in 2013. She also ranks 14th in the NCAA this season.
