LEWISTON, Idaho -- Idaho cross country rounded out regular season action at the LC State Invitational in Lewiston on Saturday morning. The women put up a runner-up finish in the outing with 59 points while the men earned a third finish with 84 points.
Three Vandal women crossed the finish line to receive top 10 finishes. Graduate
Maya Kobylanski led the way for Idaho, taking fifth place with a pace of 5:33 and time of 17:13.
Leah Holmgren and
Jesse Redding followed in eighth (17:24) and ninth (17:26) place, respectively.  Â
McKenna Kozeluh placed 15th with a final time of 17:36 and
Pia Kircher would follow in 23rd with a time of 17:46.Â
Boise State edged out the Vandals to take home the team title after finishing with 31 points.Â
Idaho men's cross country put together a well-rounded performance with a top-three finish, led by
Sam Fulbright's fifth-place finish. The Lewiston native crossed the finish line at 24:11.Â
The next Vandal to complete the 8k race was
Miles Ferguson in 17th with a time of 24:46.
Shea Mattson secured a 21st place finish with a 24:52 while
Zac Knapp placed 33rd (25:19) and
Gage Zanette finished 37th (25:28) to round out the top 5 Vandal runners.Â
Eastern Washington took the team title with 38 points while Gonzaga placed second and Idaho earned third.Â
The Vandals will take a week off before gearing up for the Big Sky Cross Country Championships in Pocatello, Idaho on Nov. 1.Â
