MOSCOW, Idaho – Playoff Football returns to the P1FCU Kibbie Dome, but not until after a week off for the Idaho Vandals. Idaho hosts a second-round game on Dec. 7, at 6 p.m. pacific time, the FCS Playoff Committee announced Sunday.

Idaho received the eighth seed in 2024 FCS Playoff bracket, earning a first-round bye. The Vandals will play the winners of the No. 9 Richmond and Lehigh game which takes place Saturday.

Season ticket holders have first right of refusal and can claim their tickets at govandals.com/tickets. Ticket holders have until Wednesday at 12 p.m. to claim their seats before they are released to the public.

Donors have stepped up to provide a limited number of free tickets to Idaho students. Details on how to claim the tickets will be released early this week. Students can secure their tickets now by purchasing a ticket for $10.

Idaho enters the field winning five straight games and is 9-3 on the year with just three losses, two against top 5 FCS teams and the other against Oregon, the No. 1 team in the college football.

The Vandals have the sixth-toughest strength of schedule, according to Massey computer rankings and are coming off a 40-17 win over Idaho State.

Richmond started the season with losses over Virginia and Wofford, but since had rolled to 10-straight wins. They went 8-0 in the CAA to earn the outright championship title, but didn't play Rhode Island, Villanova or New Hampshire, the other four CAA teams in the playoffs.

Lehigh won the Patriot League title, finishing 8-3 overall and 5-1 in league play. Their losses came on the road at Army, at Yale and against Bucknell.

The two face off in Richmond at 11 a.m. Saturday. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

If the Vandals win their second-round game, Idaho faces a likely return to Bozeman to face Montana State, the No. 1 overall seed.

The 2024 Idaho Vandal FCS Playoff run is presented by Granite Concepts and P1FCU.
