Vandal Women's Golf Tees Off Spring at BGSU Intercollegiate

MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho women's golf team kicks off the spring season Tuesday and Wednesday at the Bowling Green State Women's Intercollegiate at the Wigwam Golf and Country Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona.

The Vandals are hoping to build off a strong fall that saw Idaho win the Eastern Washington Eagle Invitational with Yvonne Vinceri winning the individual title in the tournament.

It is the first tournament of five for Idaho this spring, all of which will take place in Arizona. The Wigwam course will also host the Big Sky Championship in mid-April.

Vinceri is the highest ranked golfer for the Vandals at this point in the season, followed by freshman Emma Kang.  They will be in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots for Idaho respectively.  Boram Jung will golf in the third spot for the Vandals, Jenna Bruggeman sits in the fourth spot and Zoe Newell will compete in the No. 5 spot.

Emma Heyman will golf as an independent for the Vandals at the tournament.

The tournament tees off with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. PT Tuesday with 36 holes on Tuesday and 18 holes on Wednesday.
