MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho women's golf team takes the course at the Big Sky Championship Monday through Wednesday at the Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
The Vandals, coming off the best performance of the season, looked primed for a strong performance against the best the Big Sky has to offer.
Idaho finished third at the Bobcat Desert Classic with three players in the top-20.
Yvonne Vinceri will golf in the top spot for the Vandals after finishing fifth last week.
Emma Kang was 13th and will golf in the No. 2 spot.
Jenna Bruggeman finished tied for 20th and will golf at the No. 3 spot for the Vandals.
Zoe Newell will compete at the No. 4 spot for the Vandals and
Boram Jung will play as the No. 5.
Freshman
Emma Heyman will be the alternate for the Vandals.
Idaho enters the tournament with three top-3 finishes and a tournament win on the year and enters the tournament among the top-four teams in the league after beating six teams in last week's tournament.
The Vandals are set to tee off at 8:10 through 8:50 and will play with Northern Colorado and Sacramento State in the groupings.
The tournament will be played at Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The Vandals played one tournament at the course, the Bowling Green State Women's Intercollegiate, where the Vandals finished second with
Zoe Newell winning the individual championship.
