MOSCOW, Idaho - The Vandals head to Washington State for the Cougar Classic on Saturday, April 20th with a five-team slate of Inland Northwest squads including Eastern Washington, Lewis-Clark State, Spokane Community College, and Washington State.
Simone Fedel enters the weekend with two Big Sky top-five rankings. Fedel, of Casalino, Italy, jumped a season-best 14.81m at the Bryan Clay Invitational last week, the conference's third farthest in the triple jump this year. He also recorded a personal record of 7.20m in the men's triple jump at the 2024 Whitworth Peace Meet on April 5th.Â

The women's 4x100 relay team of
Prabhasha Wickramaarachchi,
Camryn Crouch,
Jana Willems, and
Olivia Martin open up the action on the track for the Vandals. The quartet ran the Big Sky's third fastest time of 45.82 last week. The mark also ranks third in Idaho history.Â
Two Vandals rank top-five in the women's 100m with
Olivia Martin at No. 3 (11.82) and
Camryn Crouch at No. 5 (11.94). Martin and Crouch will race the 100m dash tomorrow, along with freshmen
Emelia Puerta and
Jana Willems.Â
Noah Culbertson ranks second in the men's shot put with a 17.69m mark. The junior from Sherwood, Oregon is set to compete in the shot put and discus throw this weekend.Â
Junior
Dante Cox will compete in the men's high jump entering with the conference's third highest mark of 1.97m.
Moving to distance, six Vandals are slated for the men's 800 at the Cougar Classic on Saturday, three of which hold top-ten marks in the Big Sky this season.
Zac Bright stands at third after his personal-best 1:49.50 from the Stanford Invitational,
Lorenz Herrmann ranks fourth (1:50.31) and
Tim Stevens is eighth (1:51.11). Â
Prabhasha Wickramaarachchi ran the conference's third fastest mark of 1:00.46 in the women's 400 hurdles at the Pacific Coast Invitational last week. Wickramaarachchi,
Lara Holzhauer, and
Belen Garcia Arias will compete in the 400 hurdles on Saturday.
Idaho concludes the outdoor regular season next week splitting squads at the Oregon State High Performance Meet, April 26-27 and the Desert Heat Classic hosted by the University of Arizona on April 27th.
