MOSCOW, Idaho – For the third time in two seasons, Idaho football will play a nationally televised game on a linear ESPN Network when they face Montana State in Bozeman on Oct. 12, the network announced Thursday.
The Big Ten also announced that Idaho's season opener at Oregon will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network with a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
Idaho earned its first ESPN linear appearance in over a decade last year when the Vandals were on ESPN2 for the home game against Montana for the battle of the Little Brown Stein. Idaho followed that up with an ESPN2 appearance in the second round of the FCS playoffs in the win over Southern Illinois.
"We are fired up to have our third nationally televised game in two years," head coach
Jason Eck said. "We'll see you in Bozeman for Big Sky After Dark."
The exact network and kickoff time will be announced later, but it will be on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.
All of the Big Sky Conference linear games under the current ESPN contract have been late evening kickoffs.
Kickoff times and TV networks for Idaho's remaining games will be announced as they are available.
