MOSCOW, Idaho – The Vandals hit the road this weekend for two matches. Idaho will take on CSUN on Thursday, August 22nd at 12:00 p.m. PST, followed by Washington State on Sunday, August 25th at 7:00 p.m. PST.

Last weekend Idaho soccer finished 1-1 while on the road. On Thursday, the Vandals defeated UC Riverside 3-0 in their second win over the Highlanders in series history. The win featured goals from
Annika Farley,
Jadyn Hanks, and
Sienna Gonzales.
Paula Flores kicked off her first college appearance with her first career start and shutout performance.
On Sunday, Idaho traveled to Washington to take on Seattle University. The Vandals fell to the Redhawks 1-3. Idaho's only goal was an assist by Karli Yoshida-Williams to Sienna Gonzales to tie up the game 1-1. This was Gonzales' second goal of the weekend and Yoshida-Williams' first assist of the season.
ABOUT CSUN
In CSUN's opening weekend, the Matadors went 0-0-2 with a 0-1 loss to California Baptist and a 0-4 loss to Texas Tech. As their next opponent, the Vandals are hoping to maintain CSUN's scoring drought.
The Vandals and Matadors have faced each other three times before, with a 1-2 record in favor of CSUN. The last meeting in 2023 concluded with a 5-1 win by the Vandals while in Northridge.
ABOUT WSU
The Cougars opening weekend started with a loss to Purdue 0-1. The Vandals and Cougars have a long history of competition and a record that shows a 1-13 in favor of WSU. Last time these two teams met was in 2021 when the No.19-ranked Cougars won 3-0 in Pullman.
The Cougars will look to turn their season around this Thursday when they host the University of Montana.
