Vandals to Host St. Thomas in 2025

MOSCOW, Idaho – The University of Idaho will host six home football games, all against Division I opponents, at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome in 2025 after St. Thomas University (Minn.) and UI have agreed to amend a previous agreement.

The Vandals host the Tommies on Sept. 6 in what will now be the home opener for the Vandals. Idaho was previously scheduled to play on the road in St. Paul in 2025 with a return game in Moscow in 2027.

The new agreement shifts the 2025 game to Moscow and eliminates the 2027 game all together.

"Our fans have shown us that they are ready to support this Vandal team as it continues to climb to the top of the Big Sky and the FCS," Deputy AD Tim Mooney said. "We are excited to be able to reward our fans with another home game and give our student-athletes the best opportunity to win a Big Sky title and return to the FCS Playoffs for the fourth consecutive season."

The Vandals went 6-0 at home in 2023, including a playoff win against Lehigh, going undefeated at home for the first time since 1995.

Idaho has not had six regular season home games against DI opponents since 2017.

The 2025 season will be the first of head coach Thomas Ford Jr.

"It is a great opportunity to get another home game for our fans and our players," Ford said. "I am grateful for our administration for doing the work to get this done and now we need everyone to show up in Moscow on September 6th and help continue to build on the momentum we have achieved over the last three seasons."

The Vandals open the season on Aug. 30 at Washington State before hosting St. Thomas on Sept. 6 and Utah Tech on Sept. 13.

Idaho is now accepting deposits for new season tickets at govandals.com/tickets or by calling 208-885-6466. Season ticket renewals open on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
