Idaho enters the match with a 4-4-6 overall record and a 1-1-2 conference record in Big Sky play, ranking them sixth in the conference. Their most recent match resulted in a 0-0 tie against the Montana Grizzlies. This marked the Vandals' eighth shutout of the season, highlighting a strong defensive run. As a result, goalkeeper
Paula Flores is tied for third place in the nation for shutouts.
Powering the Vandal offense is
Georgia Whitehead, who has three goals, including two game-winning plays. Adding to the striking effort,
Bella Gissendanner has proved to be a playmaker for Idaho with four assists.
EASTERN WASHINGTON
The Eagles enter Sunday's matchup ranked seventh in the Big Sky with a 5-5-4 overall record and a 1-2-1 mark in conference play. In their most recent outing, they fell 0-5 to Sacramento State.
Head Coach Missy Strasburg is in her fifth season with the Eagles. She holds a 26-44-15 record across her time with the team.
SERIES HISTORY
The Vandals and the Eagles hold a tight all-time record against each other. Before Sunday, Idaho holds a 12-13-2 record when facing Eastern Washington. Last season, the teams struck a close contest, resulting in a 2-2 draw.
