Vandal Soccer Set to Host Montana


MOSCOW, Idaho – Following a road win, Idaho soccer returns home to host Montana on Sunday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. PT, inside the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.

​ABOUT IDAHO
Prior to Sunday's competition, Idaho holds a 4-4-5 overall record (1-1-1 BSC), placing them sixth in the Big Sky. Idaho aims to maintain its momentum, following a 2-0 victory over Sacramento State.

Georgia Whitehead led the charge in the Vandals' most recent outing, scoring back-to-back goals in the second half. The match also marked goalkeeper Paula Flores' sixth shutout, keeping her at the top of the conference.

MONTANA
The Montana Grizzlies enter the match at fourth place in the Big Sky, holding a 7-3-2 overall record (1-1-1 in the BSC). Earlier in the week, the Grizzlies went head-to-head with Eastern Washington, resulting in a 1-1 tie.

​The Grizzlies are led by Chris Citowicki, who is in his eighth season with the team. His time at Montana is encapsulated by a 75-38-29 record.

​SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's matchup marks the 23rd meeting between Idaho and Montana, dating back to 2004. Idaho holds a 7-14-1 record against the Grizzlies before their meeting this season. In their most recent encounter on Oct. 20, 2024, Idaho narrowly lost to Montana 1-2.

The black-and-gold will remain at home to host Eastern Washington on Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. PT, inside the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
