HEAR FROM COACH
"It's nice to protect the home court," Head Coach Alex Pribble said postgame. "We need to be good at home this year, and I thought our guys showed good resilience against a good team. Eastern Oregon deserves a lot of credit, they shoot the ball at a high clip. They gave Eastern Washington a good run, so we knew this was going to be a big challenge. Again, I think the second half response was a really good sign for our guys. They buckled down defensively. We gave up nine threes in the first half and then the second half not only did they only make one three but they only shot six of them."

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Vandals came out strong with a 7-0 lead, but the Mountaineers would battle back with nine straight unanswered points. The two teams would continue to exchange buckets with the game tied at 13 with 14:33 remaining in the opening half.

Trevon Blassingame was the spark in Idaho's offense, knocking down three triples in a row in the first 10 minutes of regulation. The Vandals rode the momentum to ignite a 11-0 run to make the lead 32-18 in UI's favor.

At the 4:14 mark, Kolton Mitchell drained his second three of the night, crossing over the 500 career points in his collegiate career. Mitchell continued to score, ending the game with 14 points and 4 assists.

The second half of the game began with Jackson Rasmussen getting to the rim multiple times. His 15 second period points is the most he has had in a single half this season. Miles Klapper also had an immense impact coming off the bench, scoring 12 second half points off of 5-6 shooting.
