MISSOULA, Mont. – The Vandals advance in the Big Sky Tournament to challenge the Montana Grizzlies in the semifinals in Missoula. The stage is set for Friday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. PT.

The Vandals entered the tournament after finishing fifth in the Big Sky standings. With the quarterfinals victory, their overall record improves to 6-5-8, starring nine shutouts sponsored by the Vandal defense and goalkeeper

Earning their place in the semis, Idaho battled Portland State to a 1-0 nail-biting finish on Wednesday. The two teams played 77 minutes without a crack in the scoreboard before Senior
Naomi Alvarez found an opportunity and took it, lofting a ball into the top left corner to secure the win for Idaho.
MONTANA
The Grizzlies finished the season leading the Big Sky, earning themselves a first-round bye. Prior to Friday's match, the Grizzlies hold a 11-3-3 overall record.
SERIES HISTORY
The Vandals and the Grizzlies have faced each other 23 times, dating back to 1998. Idaho holds a 7-14-2 record when facing Montana. Earlier this season, the teams met in the Kibbie Dome and battled to an even 0-0 draw.
