LOGAN, Utah – Idaho women's basketball (8-3) travels to the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum where it will face off against the Utah State Aggies (3-5). This will be the 29th game in series history. The Vandals lead the overall series 16-12 and won the game last year in Moscow by a score of 71-56.
 
The game will tipoff at 12 p.m. in Logan, and can be seen online on the Mountain West Network. It can also be heard on the radio with the Voice of the Vandals, Doug Taylor, on the call. 
 
Idaho has proven to be among the nation's elite in rebounding the rock this season. The Vandals currently rank in the top ten in rebounds per game (48.5 – fifth), and defensive rebounds per game (31.5 – eighth). Idaho also ranks in the top 15 in the nation in offensive rebounds per contest (17.0 – 14th) and rebound margin (12.2 – 15th).  
 
In addition to being phenomenal at crashing the glass, Idaho is one of the best scoring teams in the country, averaging more than 82 points per game and ranking 20th in the nation. The Vandals have scored 82 or more points on eight of 11 different occasions this season. 
 
Offensively, the Vandals are led by Hope Hassmann who leads the team in scoring at 13.8 points per game and has scored in double figures in 10 of Idaho's 11 games this season. She is shooting career highs from the floor (43%) and from outside (37.5%). 

UI, which sits atop the Big Sky Conference standings, comes into the game as one of the best rebounding and scoring teams in the nation. Idaho currently ranks in the top 25 in the country in bench points per game (33.3 – 12th), rebound margin (12.8 – 14th), defensive rebounds per game (32.1 – fifth), offensive rebounds per game (17.1 – 13th), and rebounds per game (49.2 – fourth). 

Utah State comes into the game with a record of 3-5 and having dropped its last three games. USU was close in its last two games, having lost two-possession games to LMU and San Diego, respectively. The Aggies are led by second-year head coach Wesley Brooks who has a career record of 7-32. 

IDAHO NOTES 
  • The Vandals have made 79 three-pointers this season, and have made a three ball in 555 consecutive games
  • Debora Dos Santos recorded Idaho's second double-double of the season against Oral Roberts, scoring 22 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in just 21
  • In the next game against Denver, Kyra Gardner logged her first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 12 rebounds
  • Despite missing their best rebounder in Dos Santos, the Vandals still were able to outrebound Cal 42-36 in Berkeley
