MOSCOW, Idaho - In the first game of the Big Sky-Summit League Challenge, Idaho came out on top of North Dakota with an emphatic 90-58 win.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
The Vandals and Fighting Hawks battled hard throughout the opening eight minutes of the first half, keeping the score close. The game opened with a three-pointer from Biko Johnson to get the ball rolling. 

With eight minutes remaining in the first half, the Vandals began to pull away led by a high-intensity dunk by Jack Payne, leading a 8-3 run to put the Vandals up 11 points. 

Junior Seth Joba led the Vandals in the first half with 13 points, while Johnson took the lead on the defensive front, racking up three steals and one block. 

The second half opened with the Brave and Bold holding their steady lead over the Fighting Hawks. Enter Isaiah Brickner

At the 13:06 mark, Brickner checked in the game, beginning 0-2 until 10:58, kicking off his impressive scoring night with a three-pointer. From there, Brickner rattled off 23 points in the final nine minutes to finish with a career high of 26 points. 

The Vandals dominated the floor, clocking 30:05 with the lead, while holding the largest lead of 37 points, and outworking North Dakota on the boards 35-20, their largest rebounding margin against a DI team this season. 

UP NEXT
Idaho will travel to South Dakota Saturday for game two Big Sky-Summit League Challenge against South Dakota State. The game is set to tip off at 11 a.m. PT, and will air on The Summit League Network and the Vandal Radio Network.
