BERKELEY, Calif. – Idaho women's basketball (8-2) is back on the road to take on the California Golden Bears (7-3). 
 
The game will tipoff at 7 p.m. in Cal's Hass Pavilion, and can be seen on ESPN+ with Dave Benz and Ashlee Jones on the call. It can also be heard on the radio with the Voice of the Vandals, Doug Taylor, on the call. 
 
Off to an 8-2 start, the 2025-26 Vandals have tied last season's group for best start through 10 games since the 2003-04 season. The way Idaho has gone about this historic stretch has been impressive, scoring more points than anyone in the conference (84.9 ppg), and having an average margin of 17.3 points per game. The Vandals have one of the more balanced attacks in the Big Sky, and are one of only two teams to have four of the top 25 scorers in the Big Sky Conference. 
 
Idaho's offense has been lethal this season, and is one of the top scoring groups in the nation. At 84.9 points per game, the Vandal attack leads the Big Sky and is ranked 16th in the country for highest-scoring offense. The Vandals currently have four players who are averaging 10 or more points per game in Hope Hassmann (14.1), Kyra Gardner (13.0), Lorena Barbosa (12.0), and Debora Dos Santos (11.1).

UI, which sits atop the Big Sky Conference standings, comes into the game as one of the best rebounding and scoring teams in the nation. Idaho currently ranks in the top 25 in the country in bench points per game (33.3 – 12th), rebound margin (12.8 – 14th), defensive rebounds per game (32.1 – fifth), offensive rebounds per game (17.1 – 13th), and rebounds per game (49.2 – fourth). 

Cal is currently ranked 63 in the NET and is coming off a 50-point blowout win against San Jose State. The Golden Bear offense is tied for the fourth most three-point attempts in the ACC, averaging 24.3 attempts per game. 

IDAHO NOTES 
  • The Vandals have made 76 three-pointers this season
  • Debora Dos Santos recorded Idaho's second double-double of the season against Oral Roberters, scoring 22 points and grabbing 15 rebounds in just 21
  • In the next game against Denver, Kyra Gardner logged her first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 12 rebounds
  • Idaho currently leads the Big Sky Conference in assists per game (15.3), blocks per game (5.2), rebound margin (11.7), defensive rebounds per game (31.3), offensive rebounds per game (17.8), rebounds per game (49.1), and scoring offense (85)
  • The Vandals were selected as a 13 seed in the most recent version of ESPN's bracketology
