MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho football kicker 
Cameron Pope has been named to the 2025 Fred Mitchell Award Preseason Watch List.
The award recognizes 35 placekickers across the nation at all levels of college football for their contributions on the field and in the community. 
Last season, Pope, a redshirt junior from East Wenatchee, Wash., made 17 field goals, including a long of 50, and converted on 37 PATs, while kicking off on 13 different occasions for the Vandals last season with three touchbacks.
Pope is one of just 15 kickers in FCS to be named to the watchlist. 
Kickers are nominated by their schools or are at the top of their respective divisions. The recipient will be announced in December 2025. 
Idaho opens its season on Aug. 30 at Washington State. Coverage of the Vandals' fall camp can be found on all Idaho social media channels.
