MOSCOW, Idaho – For the 39
th week in a row, Idaho Vandals Football is ranked in the top 25 polls, coming in at No. 8 in the Stats Perform Top 25, and No. 10 in the AFCA Coaches poll.
The Vandals are in the midst of the second-longest streak of being ranked in school history, the previous high coming in 1992-95 when Idaho was ranked for 42 consecutive weeks. Idaho has been ranked in the top 10 for 31 of these 39 weeks.
Idaho enters this week with the second-best rushing offense in the Big Sky conference (203 ypg, six touchdowns) and the third-ranked total defense in the league (337.5 ypg). Idaho also leads the Big Sky in time of possession, averaging over 35 minutes per contest.
This year's version of The Battle of the Little Brown Stein is the 90
th in rivalry history. Idaho will be playing its second of three games on national TV this week as the game will be aired on ESPN2. This is the only top-10 matchup in FCS this weekend.
