MOSCOW, Idaho - The Vandals head south to kick off Big Sky Conference play by facing Idaho State on Thursday, Sept. 25, in Pocatello.

ABOUT IDAHO
Prior to entering conference play, Idaho boasts a 3-3-4 record. The Vandals have displayed defensive strength in their non-conference matches, with goalkeeper Paula Flores leading their upcoming Big Sky competitors with five shutouts.
​The team currently sits in the middle of the conference rankings, one place in front of its in-state rival and upcoming competition, Idaho State.
​Leading the Vandal's offensive third is fifth-year Annika Farley with counterparts Calli Chiarelli and Georgia Whitehead, posting a combined 6 goals.

IDAHO STATE
The Bengals will enter Thursday night's match with a 3-4-2 record. The team has seen a jump in success compared to previous seasons, posting a 44.4 win-loss percentage.
​Idaho State is led by head coach Dustin Downey, who is in his third season with the Bengals. Across his time with the squad, he has accumulated a 3-34-9 record.

SERIES HISTORY
The two Idaho native teams have met 20 times since 1998, with the Vandals holding a 14-6 record over the Bengals. Their most recent encounter took place last fall, when Idaho swept Idaho State 4-0 at home. The black-and-gold enter the match on a four-game winning streak over the Bengals.
