Spokane Showcase
MOSCOW, Idaho - Idaho Track and Field kicks off its indoor season at the Spokane Showcase on Friday. Field events are set to begin at 10:30 A.M. PST., while the running events will start at 11:30 A.M. PST.
The Idaho men were picked fourth in the Big Sky Preseason Coaches Poll after finishing the 2025 indoor season fifth. This year's squad includes multiple strong returners, who will be competing in the Lilac City including senior miler Ethan Sturdivant and middle distance runner Jan Bremer. Sturdivant ran the fifth fastest Vandal indoor mile a season ago, with Bremer looking to build off a solid freshman campaign in 2025 where he ran the third fastest 800 time on the team. After gaining a combination of new freshmen and college transfers, the Vandals are ready to start their year in Spokane with athletes in nine out of the 17 men's events.
On the women's side, Idaho was ranked 6th in the Coaches Poll, the same spot the team finished in 2025. The Vandals will have competitors in seven of the 17 women's events as they start their 2026 indoor campaign. A returner to watch is junior Blossom Omogor, who placed in the top eight at the Big Sky Indoor Championship last season in the 60m, 200m, and 4x400m relay. She will compete in all three events on Friday. Idaho added a number of athletes to the team in the offseason who look to be key for the team as the season progresses.

Idaho will begin its two-meet home indoor slate next weekend with the Lauren McCluskey Invitational. The event stretches across three days, with competition inside the P1FCU Kibbie Dome beginning on Thursday, January 22, and continuing through Saturday, January 24.
