MOSCOW, Idaho – Former Idaho football linebacker Christian Elliss and the New England Patriots are heading to Super Bowl LX following the Patriots' 10-7 win over the No. 1 seed Denver Broncos on Sunday. 

Elliss, who has developed into an elite playmaker in the NFL, racked up two tackles and two assists, a sack, and a game-changing forced fumble in the AFC Championship. The Idaho alumnus is currently wrapping up the best year of his professional career, having started in 15 of New England's games this year and playing in 18, including the playoffs. In the regular season, he totaled a career high of 94 total tackles and has forced and recovered a fumble in this year's playoffs. 

During his time in college at Idaho from 2017-21, Elliss totaled 266 total tackles, 19.5 TFL, four sacks, and a pair of interceptions. He was a three-time selection to the all-conference teams, including being named First Team All-Big Sky in 2019 and 2021 (spring). During his senior season, Elliss averaged 10 tackles per game. 

This is the second Super Bowl for which Elliss has been on roster, having been with the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles. Elliss is one of 17 Vandals to have been on roster for a Super Bowl.
