MOSCOW, Idaho - Coming off the first sweep of the men's and women's Big Sky Basketball Tournament titles in school history, Idaho basketball returns to the floor on November 2, with single-game tickets on sale now.
Fans can claim their seats for the 2026-27 slate through the Vandal Ticket Office at GoVandals.com/Tickets or by calling (208) 885-6466. Student tickets are also now available for the entire 2026-27 season.
Fresh off a program-record 14 home wins during the 2025–26 campaign, the Vandal women return to the ICCU Arena for an exciting 2026–27 home slate beginning on November 2 against Saint Martin's. Third-year head coach Arthur Moreira's squad will host non-conference match ups against Walla Walla (Nov. 15), Northwest Indian College (Nov. 22), Utah State (Dec. 16), and Seattle U (Dec. 21).
The Vandals kick off their 10-game Big Sky home schedule early by welcoming Northern Colorado on December 3 and Portland State on December 5, followed by key January and February visits from conference rivals including Montana (Jan. 14), Montana State (Jan. 16), Weber State (Jan. 18), Southern Utah (Feb. 4), Utah Tech (Feb. 6), Northern Arizona (Feb. 18), and regular-season home finales against Eastern Washington (Feb. 27) and Idaho State (March 1).
Idaho returns three starters from its historic 2025–26 campaign, including First Team All-Big Sky selection and Big Sky Tournament MVP Hope Hassmann, alongside Ella Uriarte and Big Sky All-Defensive Team selection Ana Pinheiro. Hassmann helped lead the Vandals to the Big Sky regular-season and tournament championships, giving Idaho an experienced core as it looks to build on last season's success in 2026–27.
Alex Pribble's Vandal men will play host to seven non-conference opponents, a slate that is headlined by a 27-win North Dakota State program (Dec. 8), the Big West Conference's Cal Poly and CSU Bakersfield, and Idaho's Big Sky Champions Celebration prior to the season opener against George Fox on November 2. UI will open its 10-game Big Sky home schedule with a three-game homestand, beginning on New Year's Eve against conference newcomers Utah Tech, before facing Southern Utah on January 2, and Northern Arizona on January 9.
The Idaho men will play the first leg of the Battle for King Spud against Idaho State inside ICCU Arena on Monday, January 28, and will celebrate Senior Night on February 22 versus Weber State.
Kristian Gonzalez leads the Vandals into the 26-27 season after being Idaho's top scorer during the 2024-25 campaign. The senior will be joined by Idaho's all-time boys basketball scoring record holder and 2023-24 Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year Kase Wynott, former St. Thomas guard and Spokane native Ryan Lafferty, and Brady Kennison, who made the most threes in the country at the junior college level a year ago.
