MOSCOW, Idaho - Vandal Cross Country is getting ready for a big meet this Friday, October 9 in Eugene, Oregon. Runners will compete at the Bill Dellinger Invitational with the men's 8K beginning at 11:15 A.M. PST. The women's 6K will follow at 12 P.M. PST.

Idaho will race alongside multiple other Division 1 teams, including schools from the Big Sky, Big Ten, Big West, Mountain West, and Pac-12. This is a high-profile meet for the Vandals, and they are ready to take it on headfirst.

Freshman and sophomore duo, Miles Lechtenberg and Evan Jones, are set to lead the Vandal men this weekend after both setting new 8K PRs in Spokane. Luca Wagner is coming off a strong meet as well, being Idaho's fourth runner to cross the finish line in his first ever cross country meet. Sophomores Conor Thompson and Jaysen Rodriquez are coming into the weekend with new season and personal bests, ready to stay competitive in Eugene.

As for the women, junior duo Jesse Redding and Alex Terry are anticipated to show out this Friday, both coming back after strong season debuts last month. Malia Chipouras is another runner to keep an eye on following her personal best 6K race last week. Along with many others, senior Constanze Paoli is another standout athlete to mention. Paoli won the Montana Invite meet two weeks ago in the 5K, ready to continue the season in search of more medals.
