SPOKANE, Wash. - Keenan Kuntz continued his strong start to his Vandal career, while fellow sprinter
Jana Willems pushed towards school records in multiple events at the Inland Northwest Invitational, the third meet on Idaho's indoor schedule.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Kuntz set the 60m school record two weeks ago at The Podium and followed up that performance on Saturday with a 21.21 in the 200, a time that places him second in Idaho history and atop this season's Big Sky rankings. Willems set a personal best in the 60, running a 7.45, beating her time from this season's opening meets by one-hundredth-of-a-second. The Snohomish, Washington, native remains in the third spot in the conference and is now tied for second in Vandal history. Willems' Evergreen State neighbor, Adelyn Mitchell, also ran her fastest career time in the event, a 7.74.
Idaho's sprint success continued in the women's 200, with Rhyan Madden's hot 2026 start persisting as she set a personal best, 24.26, moving her to third in the conference this season. Three other Vandals, Hanna Tait, Alyssa Marsh, and Willems, broke the 25-second barrier, meaning Idaho now holds five of the top 10 200-meter spots in the Big Sky, more than any other school. Madden also set a PR in the 400, a 55.08, beating her previous best by a second-and-a-half, to move to fourth in the Big Sky. Blossom Omogor also ran a sub-56 second time, pushing her name to sixth in the conference.
Zac Knapp ran a personal best 4:15.50 in the mile, knocking nearly a second off his previous record time. The Vandals swept the top three spots in the women's mile, with Constanze Paoli and Alex Terry both taking top-15 places in the Big Sky with their times, and Jesse Redding set a college best time.
