GAME NOTES (PDF)

OGDEN, Utah – The Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team (19-5, 10-1) hits the road for its final two-game Big Sky trip of the season, where it will tip off against Weber State (7-18, 1-11) in WSU's Purple Palace.

The game will tip off at 5 p.m. PT and can be seen on ESPN+. Brandon Garside and Carla Taylor will have the call on TV. Doug Taylor, the Voice of the Vandals, can be heard over the airwaves on the Vandal Athletics Radio Network.

Coming off what is possibly its biggest week of the season with big wins over Montana State and Montana, Idaho was ranked in the most recent edition of the Mid-Major Top 25, coming in at No. 22. The Vandals look to keep up the momentum in Ogden where, historically, Idaho has performed very well. The Vandals have won 20 of the last 22 games against the Wildcats. Overall, Idaho has won its last eight games, and has won 11 of its last 12.

Idaho continues to rebound at an elite rate this season. Averaging over 47 rebounds per contest – fourth best in the nation - the Vandals have led the Big Sky in rebounding in every major rebounding category all season long.

Offense has been another calling card for Head Coach Arthur Moreira's squad. The Vandal attack has led the Big Sky in scoring all year, and ranks in the top 25 in the nation for most points per game, averaging nearly 80 each outing. Idaho is led in scoring by Kyra Gardner and Hope Hassmann, both of whom are putting up over 13 points per game. Hassmann currently has 998 career points after a 19-point outburst against Montana in Idaho's last game.

The Wildcats have struggled with injuries all year and haven't had the season they were hoping for. Last year, the much-improved WSU team earned the No. 4 seed in the Big Sky Conference tournament. This season, Weber State has struggled out of the gates to the conference season, and is currently in last with a 1-11 record. WSU is led in scoring by Antoinette Emma-Nnopu, who is ninth in the Big Sky at 14.2 points per game.
