Vandal Women Play at GCU Invitational

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandal women's golf team travels to Arizona to play at the Grand Canyon Invitational Tuesday and Wednesday at the GCU Golf Course in Phoenix.
 
The Vandals are coming off a ninth-place finish at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate. The GCU Invite carries a smaller field than it has in the past with just five teams in the field. Along with tournament host GCU, the Vandals join Wyoming, Northern Illinois and Northwood University (Mich.).
 
Boram Jung will play at the No. 1 spot after putting up her best performance in over a year at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate. Zoe Nelson will play at No. 2. Ella Kozak will play at the No. 3 spot while Laura Caamaño will play at the fourth spot and Kaylin Johnson will play fifth.
 
The tournament includes 36 holes on Tuesday before closing out with 18 on Wednesday. The Vandals begin the tournament with Johnson teeing off at 7:24 a.m. pacific, Caamaño teeing off at 7:33 a.m., Kozak Teeing off at 8:42, Newell teeing off at 8:51 and Jung teeing off at 9 a.m. The second round will commence immediately after the end of the first round.
 
The GCU Golf course plays at par 72 and 6,510 yards.
