GAME NOTES (PDF)
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team (23-5, 14-1) hits the road for its final away game of the 2025-26 season, heading to Flagstaff where it will take on the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (10-18, 6-9).
The game will tip off at 5 p.m. PT and can be seen on ESPN+. Doug Taylor, the Voice of the Vandals, can be heard over the airwaves on the Vandal Athletics Radio Network with the pregame show starting at 4:40 p.m. PT
The Vandals currently sit in first place in the Big Sky Conference, and at this point in the season, every single game is crucial to Idaho's title aspirations. Head Coach
Arthur Moreira's squad is currently on an 12-game winning streak – the program's third-longest winning streak ever. With 23 wins, Idaho has recorded its most wins since the 2013-14 season when the Vandals won 24.
With an average of nearly 80 points per game this season, Idaho has the highest-scoring offense in the Big Sky over the course of this year. The Vandals currently have four players who are averaging double-digits in scoring with
Hope Hassmann,
Kyra Gardner, Debora Dos Santos, and
Ana Pinheiro. 80 has been a magic number this season for Idaho. The Vandals have reached the 80-point plateau 16 times this year and have a 15-1 record in those games.
Idaho is also one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, led by Dos Santos, who is grabbing nearly eight rebounds per contest. As a team, the Vandals lead the Big Sky Conference in every major rebounding statistic and are ranked in the national top 20 in each of those categories, too. As one of the most elite rebounding teams in the country, Idaho has outrebounded opponents in 24 of its 28 games this season, tallying a 20-4 record when they grab more boards than its foes.
Sacramento State bounced back after a four-game losing streak, defeating EWU on Thursday in Cheney. The first contest between the two squads came down to the wire, but ultimately Idaho reigned supreme with a 62-55 victory in Sacramento.
