MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team (18-5, 9-1) returns to the hardwood, where it will renew one of its oldest rivalries against the Montana Lady Grizzlies (7-15, 4-7).

The game will tip off at 2 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN+. Davis Hagen and Nathan Eshelman will be on the call on TV. Doug Taylor, the Voice of the Vandals, can be heard over the airwaves on the Vandal Athletics Radio Network. The Vandals will be celebrating the annual Teddy Bear Toss game. In partnership with Kappa Alpha Theta & the Idaho Athletics Student Athlete Advisory Committee, fans are encouraged to bring plushies to the game. All donations during the game will be given to the CASA program of Lewiston benefiting local children in need.

Idaho is coming off an overtime thriller against Montana State on Thursday, securing a massive win in what was the biggest game in the Big Sky Conference this season. The Vandals now sit alone atop the Big Sky Conference standings following that huge victory.

Offense has been one of the Vandals' biggest strengths this season, and Idaho has been led by Kyra Gardner and Hope Hassmann, both of whom are averaging over 13 points per game to lead the top-ranked offense in the Big Sky Conference. Debora Dos Santos, who recorded her fourth double-double of the season with 14 points and 17 rebounds last game, is third on the team with 10.8 points per contest in her role as first person off the bench.

The Vandals have been one of the best rebounding teams in the nation this year. UI leads the conference in every major rebounding statistic and is ranked fourth in the entire nation in rebounds per game, grabbing over 47 boards per contest. Dos Santos leads the Vandals, snagging nearly eight rebounds a game.

Montana had an extremely difficult non-conference schedule this year, facing the likes of Oregon, Washington, BYU, Utah, Houston, and South Dakota State. Following a very slow start to the conference year and dropping their first five Big Sky games, the Lady Griz have won four of their last six contests. As a team, Montana has made more threes than any other squad in the Big Sky, shooting 30% from outside.
