MOSCOW, Idaho – There's plenty on the line on Monday in ICCU Arena, as the Idaho Vandals Women's Basketball team (25-5, 16-1) closes out the regular season against its oldest rival, the Eastern Washington Eagles (14-16, 7-10).

The game will tip off at 6 p.m. Trevor Williams and Stephen Madison will have the call on ESPN+, while Doug Taylor, the Voice of the Vandals, can be heard over the airwaves on the Vandal Athletics Radio Network.

With its 55-41 victory against Northern Colorado on Saturday, the Vandals clinched the No. 1 seed in next week's Big Sky tournament, and at least a share of the Big Sky Conference regular-season title. In Monday's contest, the 90th in series history between the long-time rivals, Idaho can clinch the outright regular season conference crown with a win. The Vandals have more chances to make history as they can tie the program record for most home wins in a season (14, 2003-04) and tie the longest winning streak in Vandal history (15, 1984-85). In addition, Idaho can break the school record for most conference wins in a season if it beats EWU on Monday.

With an average of nearly 80 points per game this season, Idaho has the highest-scoring offense in the Big Sky over the course of this year. The Vandals currently have four players who are averaging double-digits in scoring with Hope HassmannKyra Gardner, Debora Dos Santos, and Ana Pinheiro. 80 has been a magic number this season for Idaho. The Vandals have reached the 80-point plateau 17 times this year and have a 16-1 record in those games.

Idaho is also one of the best rebounding teams in the nation, led by Dos Santos, who is grabbing nearly eight rebounds per contest. As a team, the Vandals lead the Big Sky Conference in every major rebounding statistic and are ranked in the national top 20 in each of those categories, too. As one of the most elite rebounding teams in the country, Idaho has outrebounded opponents in 25 of its 29 games this season, tallying a 21-4 record when they grab more boards than its foes. Idaho is coming off a game in which it corralled 66 rebounds – the most the Vandals have had in a single game since the 2021 season.

Eastern Washington was one of the biggest threats on the glass the Vandals have faced this season. The Eagles rank 23rdin the nation for most rebounds, and EWU's Kourtney Grossman is third in the nation for most total boards this season. Eastern still has plenty to play for as they currently sit above Sacramento State in the Big Sky standings, but only on the tiebreaker. Should EWU win, it would solidify it's spot with the No. 5 seed in next week's Big Sky tournament.
