MOSCOW, Idaho - On Monday, Idaho Football head coach Thomas Ford Jr. announced the signing of wide receiver transfer Zack Card, who spent three seasons at Oregon State before coming to Moscow.
ZACK CARD - WIDE RECEIVER - OREGON STATE
A 5'9" pass catcher originally from Brentwood, CA, Zack Card is coming off his third season in Corvallis, where he appeared in eleven games for the Beavers, tallying nine grabs for 64 yards, including three for 19 in the season finale vs. Washington State in Pullman. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, Card got his first real taste of collegiate action, appearing in all eleven games for OSU, recording his five catches for a total of 35 yards and scoring a rushing touchdown in the team's win over Purdue. During this time, he crossed paths with Ford, his now-head coach, while the latter was the running backs coach in the Beaver State. He appeared in four games for OSU in 2023, catching five passes, including four in one game, while preserving his redshirt.
Coming out of Brentwood, Card established himself as a dynamic athlete in the Bay Area, recording a combined 71 catches for 1411 yards and 15 TDs in his final two seasons at Pittsburg High School, supplemented with two scores on the ground, 123 tackles, and two interceptions in that span. Pittsburg had a record of 21-6 across those two years, going a perfect 10-0 in league play, and appeared in the CIF State Football Championship Bowl Game in 2023.
Card, a former three-star recruit, will join a receiver room as a playmaker with experience at the highest levels of college football, adding to a roster filled with offensive weapons in Ryan Jezioro, Tony Harste, Marquawn McCraney, and Daveon Superales.
