MOSCOW, Idaho – Idaho soccer returns home Thursday night to host CSU Bakersfield at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. The Vandals look to close out the month of August on a strong note as they return to Moscow following their trip to Hawaii. 

The Vandals return home after a trip to Hawaii that saw Idaho open the season with two wins before falling to the Rainbow Wahine, 2-0, on Saturday. Idaho enters Thursday's matchup with a 2-1-1 record, looking to bounce back in its return home. Despite the result against Hawaii, the Vandals generated several scoring opportunities, outshooting the Rainbow Wahine 17-7 and putting six shots on goal. 

The Vandals have seen contributions throughout the lineup during the opening weeks of the season. Idaho has received offensive production from multiple players, while its depth has continued to play an important role through the first four matches. The Vandals will look to carry that balanced attack into Thursday's matchup against CSU Bakersfield. 

Defensively, the Black and Gold have been led by Paula Flores, who was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 18. Idaho will look to limit the CSU Bakersfield attack as the Vandals return home looking to respond following Saturday's result. 

CSU Bakersfield enters Thursday's matchup with an 0-2-0 record following losses to San Francisco and Idaho State. The Roadrunners opened the season with a 4-0 loss at San Francisco before returning home Sunday and falling to Idaho State, 2-0. CSU Bakersfield is still searching for its first win of the season and will look to reset and come ready for a strong challenge against the Vandals in Moscow. 

Thursday's matchup gives Idaho an opportunity to return home and build on its season while looking to respond following its trip to Hawaii. The Vandals will be ready to compete against Bakersfield and look to put together a strong performance in front of the home crowd. 

Kickoff between Idaho and CSU Bakersfield is set for 7 PM PT at the P1FCU Kibbie Dome in Moscow.
