Biography

2012: Played in 11 games and started eight ... finished the season with 34 total tackles (25 solo and nine assists) as well as four pass breakups, one interception, one quarterback hurry and one forced fumble.
2011: Played in all 12 games ... was a key contributor as a backup cornerback and on special teams ... had 23 total tackles (16 solo and seven assists) ... returned a fumble recovery 70 yards to score against  Hawai`i ... best single-game outing was four solo stops at New Mexico State ... also returned kicks and finished with 11 for 180 yards.
2010: Played in 11 games and had 11 total tackles (10 solo and one assist) ... best game was four tackles (three solo and one assist) at Louisiana Tech.
2009: Redshirt.
High school: 11-3A First-team all-district cornerback as a senior and second team as a junior ... two year-starter at Madison and three-year letterman ... as a senior, had four interceptions and 15 passes defensed ... also a standout in track ... earned Madison’s Athlete of the School award and was an Honors Society A&B Honor Roll member.
Personal: Son of Terri Shellman and Tracy Carter ... born April 17, 1991 ... majoring in electrical engineering.
