As a senior, earned recognition as the Oahu Interscholastic Association White Offensive Player of the Year, the OIA White first-team utility, the OIA White first-team defensive back and the Honolulu Star-Advertiser All-State utility ... as a junior was a second-team all-state player by the Honolulu Star Bulletin and an honorable mention choice of the Honolulu Advertiser ... he also was on the 2009 all-Katoosh team, which recognizes the hardest hitters ... also competes in track and was the 2009 state 400-meter champion and was third in the state in the 200 meters as a sophomore, and as a junior finished third in the 400 and fifth in the 200.
