2013: Played in all 12 games as a long snapper and defensive end ... started seven games at defensive end ... had 20 total tackles (14 solo and 6 assists) ...   also had two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one quarterback hurry.
2012: Played in all 12 games as the Vandals long snapper ... saw some action on the defensive line and had 14 total tackles (seven solo and seven assists) as well as a half-tackle for loss ... three times had four tackles in one game.
2011: Earned the role as the Vandals’ long snapper and performed flawlessly throughout the season after joining the Vandals in the spring of 2011.
High school: From Dortmund, Germany where he played club football ... was a member of the Duesseldorf team that won the 2008 GFL Junior Championship (beating Suttgart 49-30), and was a leader on the 2009 team as well ... in his final season with Duesseldorf, Burgsmueller registered 65 tackles (53 solo take downs), including 10.5 sacks as a senior and knocked down four passes, forced three fumbles and recovered two fumbles ... was team MVP during his final season.
