Major: Public Relations
2016: Played a key role and was a part-time starter in the secondary ... finished the season with 34 total tackles, which includes three in the Vandals’ Idaho Famous Potato Bowl victory ... he also had two pass breakups in the bowl game for a total of three for the season.
2015: Played in all 12 games and finished with 37 total tackles (32 solo and five assists) ... had a career-best 10 solo tackles vs. Georgia Southern ... also had four tackles-for-loss as well as one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
2014: Played in seven games ... had 10 solo stops and two assists ... had one tackle for loss (-2 yards) and recovered one fumble.
2013: Redshirted.
High school: Hawkins was selected to play in the 2012 CalState 5-Star All-Star game in addition to earning recognition as a San Bernardino all-state and second-team all-baseline league. As a senior, Hawkins had 54 total tackles, three interceptions, one sack, two forced fumbles and 14 passes defensed. He missed his junior season because of an injury.
